The phrase "women empowerment" refers to the process by which women take more political and personal control over their lives. In both the public and private arenas, women have historically been inferior to males in India. Even though the Indian Constitution provides equality for all citizens, women are frequently barred from politics and are not given the same access to jobs, education, and property rights.
